Things to Think About

What a true honor it is to serve Jesus.
Today in my classroom we got into some really heavy stuff. I realized after a detailed conversation about good vs. evil that I am so thankful for the understanding that my parents seemed to have about exposing us to evil. I discovered today that my students have watched some very disturbing things on TV and DVD. I am very concerned because some of the things sound like they have been produced from an "evangelical" point of view. I told my students that it is far better to focus on God and truth than on the devil and his evil plans.
I trust that God will help me to be wise. I so very much wish to shape the minds of "my dear ones". Yesterday we learned the word imitation. I told them that we are to imitate Christ. What a high standard to present to my students and to myself. What a privilage to share Jesus with these children.
If you want to see the students in action you can look at the Hobe Sound Bible Church site and see them playing hand bells during the 2:30 service on the 10th.
On Sunday night I finished four nights of my third occasion to work with the Spanish children during their camp meeting. It was a lot of fun. One night I had close to 80 children in a classroom. Wow! Wild and Wonderful!

Thinking of you,

Rachel Ryder
